Description |
Set on the bank of the Chobe River in Northern Botswana. As the longest owner-operated lodge in the area, Kubu has a reputation for friendly hospitality.
11 en-suite fully serviced wooden thatched chalets, newly renovated and upgraded, set beneath spreading canopies of tree’s, on shaded lawns extending to the river’s edge.
The raised decks of the bar and restaurant overlook the river with emphasis being on alfresco dining and spectacular views.
Facilities include curio shop, reading lounge and strategically placed daybeds on the lawns and around the swimming pool
Activities offered include Safari Drives and Boat Cruises into the world renowned Chobe National Park – home to Africa’s single largest population of Elephant and amazing wildlife. Day trips to Victoria Falls, a marked nature walk on the Kubu property where baobab trees, an array of birdlife and small wildlife can be seen or the 2km sunset cruise on the Chobe River to the confluence with the mighty Zambezi River where four countries meet.
Kubu Lodge sponsors since 2006 the Kazungula Children’s Ark Daycare Centre and Youth Library which is open for visitors to meet the teachers, volunteers and children. This not-for-profit is listed with ‘Pack for a Purpose’ and any support is gratefully received
Good tarmac roads and regular scheduled flights into Kasane mean we are ideally situated to access Zimbabwe, Zambia, the Caprivi Strip and the rest of Botswana.
