Itinerary Overview
Day 1-2: Victoria Falls
- Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport; transfer to accommodation.
- Enjoy an evening river cruise on the Zambezi for excellent birding.
- Explore the Victoria Falls Rainforest, focusing on unique bird species, followed by a search for nightjars at dusk.
Day 3: Chobe River Camp
- Cross into Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, a birders’ paradise.
- Afternoon boat exploration of the Chobe River (water dependent) and nocturnal birding after sunset.
Day 4-5: Zambezi Mubala
- Early morning birding around the lodge.
- Spend the day on the Zambezi River, targeting diverse bird species.
- Witness the spectacular Carmine Bee-Eater colony in flight at sunrise.
Day 6-7: Namushasha River Lodge
- Transfer to Namushasha River Lodge along the Kwando River.
- Afternoon game drive in Bwabwata National Park, rich in birdlife.
- Morning boat excursion along the Kwando River, followed by a drive through savannah and waterways for more sightings.
Day 8: Departure
- Depart for Kasane for a flight to Johannesburg, with time for a final walk around the property.
